I've been looking for some glass apothecary jars for ages. They just scream - or should that be, enunciate beautifully - elegance to me. I imagine they have a lot of uses too. Think cotton balls or mini bath bombs in the bathroom, pasta shapes or herbs in the kitchen and decorative items elsewhere. They're not easy to find in England, though perfume bottles are in abundance if you want a similar effect but not the storage capabilities.
Left: these would make a good budget buy - £8 small, £10 large at Next. Right: LSA's small ribbed glass jar doesn't quite have the height but would ground taller jars, £24.47 at Heal's.
Love these tall jars with the ball glass stems - Pottery Barn, $39-$69. These are problem the nicest I've seen. They give me the impression of a really old fashioned sweet shop, which brings me to...
I had to finish off with this gorgeous glass jar filled with colourful malt bars from Amy Atlas Events. She creates mouthwatering candy tables for events with coloured themes.
